As we head into Q4, the pace of change in the industry continues to accelerate, with new leadership appointments, key promotions, and a dynamic talent landscape shaping the future of the field.

Additionally, market momentum remains strong, with private equity funds continuing to make substantial investments across the professional services sector. At the same time, top-tier consulting firms are expanding their capabilities by acquiring specialised boutique firms, enhancing their offerings and strengthening their competitive edge in strategic markets.

People Moves

Advent International have announced the arrival of Carmine Di Sibio, former EY Global Chairman and CEO, as Operating Partner. Di Sibio, who spent five years at the helm of the Big 4 firm, will play an active role in supporting Advent to identify, source, and execute new deals in the Business and Financial Services space.

After eight successful years at EY-Parthenon, Brian Salsberg has joined FTI Consulting as Senior Managing Director and Global Head of M&A, based in New York. He brings 25 years’ experience as a Global Partner to continue driving FTI’s integrated transaction communications and core M&A advisory offerings.

Will Rhode has joined Alvarez & Marsal as a Managing Director from EY to lead the new Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practice across EMEA. Rhode brings over 15 years of ESG consulting experience and a demonstrable track record in providing strategic advisory services across various industries.

Alvaro Vaca has joined Oliver Wyman as a Partner to strengthen their Retail & Business Banking, Wealth Management, and Payments team. He joins the Madrid office after seven years as a Managing Director and Partner at BCG, where he led Payments and Fintech for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and South America.

Oliver Wyman have also welcomed Matthew Tucker back as a Partner to their European Private Capital and Insurance & Asset Management teams. Tucker returns with nearly 20 years of consulting experience within financial services and private equity, with strong expertise across the transaction lifecycle.

Alvarez & Marsal have hired Natalia Kopec as a Senior Director into their Digital Strategy team. She joins from Artefact, and will be reunited with many of her former colleagues from IBM and Kearney.

FTI have expanded their Corporate Finance and Restructuring team in EMEA, with the additions of Jean Werner de T’Serclaes, Ramón Baeza Fraile and Wim Gysegom. They bring a combination of 75 years of experience from BCG and McKinsey.

CIL Management Consultants have welcomed Frederic Thomas as Partner from Roland Berger to lead the French business. Thomas has deep expertise in providing strategic advisory services, transactional support, and value creation strategies to private equity firms and corporates across Europe, particularly in the Life Sciences sector.

Former EY Partner Aimee Molle Stafford has joined Cross Country Consulting in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is aiming to utilise her 20 years of collective transaction expertise to service their Private Equity clients.

Capco have appointed Yannis Skiadas as Sales Leader for their Insurance practice across Europe. Skiadas brings 24 years of international experience in the insurance industry to Capco, gained both in commercial and personal lines of business. He most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer and a Member of the Supervisory Board at Monument Re in Belgium.

Across the pond, Dan Martin and Sal Kutub have joined Capco in the US to strengthen their Energy Practice. Martin brings more than 30 years of consulting experience focusing on digital transformation and enterprise systems integration for oil and gas companies, whilst Kutub has nearly 20 years of experience delivering business transformation and large-scale programs in the power and utilities industry.

Matthew Rose, formerly of KPMG, and Sacheev Hanoomanjee, formerly of McKinsey, have both joined BCG INVERTO in London as Managing Directors. They are tasked with leading the Supply Chain team and continuing to grow the business’ UK presence.

Sia Partners have strengthened their Middle Eastern business with the appointment of Khalid El Bachraoui in the Digital Transformation team and Loai Al Omari in the Cybersecurity team. Both Partners are committed to growing the firm’s presence in the Middle East, a rapidly growing technology landscape.

Mattel, a toy manufacturing and entertainment company, have announced the appointment of former McKinsey partner Ken Wee, based in their Los Angeles office, as their EVP and Chief Strategy Officer. He will be overseeing strategic planning and corporate development at the firm.

RSM have appointed Michael Buckley and Terence Amako to their UK Deals Services team. With four decades of experience between them, these hires demonstrate a commitment from RSM to investing in industry leaders.

People Promotions

EY announces appointment of Anna Anthony as next UK & Ireland Regional Managing Partner. Anthony has over 25 years’ experience in professional services and has been an EY Partner for more than 16 years. Effective 1 January 2025, she will be responsible for leading the EY UK & Ireland business of more than 20,000 people.

Donato Ferri has been appointed as the new EMEIA Consulting Leader at EY, in addition to his ongoing role as Europe West Consulting Leader. In this expanded capacity, he will lead a diverse team of over 60,000 professionals across almost 120 countries in Europe West and East, UK, the Middle East, India, and Africa.

Nikoo Delgoshaie has been appointed as the new lead for Power, Utilities & Renewal at Deloitte Netherlands, marking two years since she joined the firm from Accenture.

After five years leading the growth of EY’s Global Banking and Capital Markets sector, Jan Bellens has been promoted to head up EY-Parthenon Financial Services in Europe. He joins to support European financial services clients to shape and execute strategies in a highly complex, uncertain, and dynamic environment.

Konstantin Kugler has become a Partner at OMMAX, where he focuses across strategy, transactions, and digital advisory. He advises private equity clients, strategic investors, and corporates, leading due diligence and digital value creation projects.

KPMG has named Stephane Souchet as the new leader of its Corporate Finance practice in France. Having served as a Partner within KPMG’s Deal Advisory division for the past eight years, Souchet now steps up to lead the Corporate Finance service line, which has a team of around a dozen Partners and over 120 professionals.

BDO has announced Robert Noye-Allen as its new head of Public Sector. He follows on from Greg Rubins, who retired in July after 12 years with the firm, and takes on the role at a time when the UK public sector is re-evaluating its relationship with the consulting industry.

Market Intelligence

BCG’s subsidiary, INVERTO, a leader in strategic procurement and supply chain management consulting, has officially moved into Switzerland with the opening of a new office in Zurich. The expansion allows them to increase their support for Swiss clients in addressing challenges such as supply chain disruptions, cost efficiency, and navigating new sustainability regulations.

Alpha FMC has strengthened its UK offering with a double-acquisition. They have brought on the teams from White Marble Consulting, a specialist marketing consultancy firm to asset management clients, and Bankside Financial Solutions Consulting, a technology consulting firm providing specialist data integration services to wealth management clients.

In its second European deal this year, Argon & Co has acquired PrexPartners, a boutique German procurement consulting firm. The acquisition will deepen the firm’s offerings in Western Europe at a time when procurement services are in high demand.

Global investment bank PJT Partners has acquired Dubai-based corporate finance and M&A firm deNovo Partners. While the firm has worked on numerous deal mandates and engagements in the region, the Dubai office of deNovo Partners becomes its first in the region, alongside ten other offices, including in New York, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
