This month we have identified multiple consulting firms that are expanding into the Middle Eastern and Asian markets through the opening of offices and the hiring of senior market figures. Alongside this, major global consulting firms are continuing to strengthen their capabilities through the acquisition of independent firms.

In addition, new appointments include leaders joining key practices in Milan, London, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid, Dubai, and the Americas. These strategic hires span areas such as insurance, turnaround services, business transformation, financial services, tax, and payments.

People Moves

Giambattista Taglioni has left BCG in the US, to join Oliver Wyman’s Insurance and Asset Management Practice in Milan. Giambattista is responsible for building out the practice, focused on the development of key client accounts, spearheading the launch of new offerings, and leading the delivery of projects to existing clients.

Adam Bradley has joined Eight Advisory as a Partner and UK Head of Turnaround Services/European Telecom practice lead. Prior to joining, Adam worked at Alvarez & Marsal/FTI and specializes in business planning, profit improvement through both revenue and cost, turnaround, transformation, due diligence, carve-out, and merger integration.

Bach Nguyen has joined FTI UK as a Managing Director in the firm’s Business Transformation practice within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring team. Bach joins from Pearson Ham and has a wealth of value creation expertise through advising businesses on pricing and performance optimisation strategies.

L.E.K. have hired Aaron Byrne who will be their new Financial Services practice lead in the Americas. Aaron will be based in their San Francisco office and will specialize in large-scale strategy, transformation and transaction efforts across key financial sectors including banking, payments, wealth and asset management, insurance, fintech and digital assets. He joins from EY-Parthenon.

Fahad Anwar has just joined INVERTO’s Kuala Lumpur team as a Managing Director. Fahad has 20+ years of experience in supply chain and procurement optimization across North America and the Middle East. He has previously worked at Deloitte, EY and most recently, at McKinsey as an Associate Partner.

EY-Parthenon have strengthened their Madrid office with the hire of Borja Sangrador Juega from L.E.K. Borja will be joining the Private Equity practice where he will continue to serve his life sciences clients, providing them with transactions, value creation plans, and strategy solutions.

Oliver Wyman in Dubai has hired Cyril Semaan from the retail group Majid Al Futtaim. Cyril will be joining as a Partner within their Retail and Consumer practice, focusing on corporate and business strategy, business development, data and analytics, incubation, and transformation.

Oliver Pumfrey and Richard Watson have both joined BDO’s Tax practice. Oliver joins from FTI and brings with him 20+ years of experience in providing corporate tax advice to private and public companies across a broad range of sectors. Richard joins from KPMG and is responsible for the growth of BDO’s tax business in the East of England, with a particular focus on the life sciences and technology sectors.

Alvarez & Marsal have hired Frank Jenner from EY in Germany. Frank was previously leading a sector focus area globally (Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility) within EY’s Supply Chain & Manufacturing practice. His new role will be co-leading the Energy & Process Industry sector, with emphasis on Advanced Materials & Chemicals for Corporate Transformation Services in Europe.

Till Giese has joined Strategy& as a Partner after 10+ years at Porsche Consulting. Till is based out of the firm’s Hamburg office and will be a member of the Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences practice. He specializes in serving clients on strategy development and implementation, digitization, operational excellence, and Industry 4.0.

Alvarez & Marsal have hired Greg Douglass as a Senior Advisor within Corporate Performance Improvement and Telecommunications & Digital Infrastructure. Greg joins from Accenture, where he was the Global Lead for Technology Strategy and Advisory.

INVERTO have hired Patrick Hoffmann as a Managing Director based in their Chicago office. Patrick joins from Proxima and will bring with him a wealth of experience in procurement transformation and value delivery across multiple industries.

Francesco Pavoni joins Kearney’s Riyadh office and will be positioned within their Transportation and Travel practice. For over 30 years Francesco has advised businesses and governments on a range of topics within the aviation, and sub sectors such as logistics, cargo, and travel and tourism sectors. He joins from Accenture.

Similarly, Kearney continues to expand their Middle East presence with the hire of Dmitry Naberezhnev as a Partner in their Dubai office. Dmitry is a member of their Energy practice and joins from Bain.

Capco have hired Anil Nanda as a new Partner and UK & Europe Head of Payments. Anil brings with him a combination of both industry and consulting experience, having worked at Bain, McKinsey, and Mastercard.

PE-backed advisory firm Riveron have hired Paul Veprek from EY in New York. Paul has a wealth of experience in navigating complex financial landscapes and executing high-stakes transactions across diverse industries, serving both corporates and PE funds.

People Promotions

Mukund Bhatnagar has been named as Kearney’s new global leader of its Financial Services practice. Mukund is based in Dubai, and has been at the firm for over 15 years.

PwC has promoted Laura Morroll to Partner. Laura is a core member of the Supply Chain and Working Capital team and becomes Equity Partner after only joining the firm from BearingPoint a year and a half ago.

Deloitte have expanded their Partner group in Scotland with the promotion of three Directors to Partners; Claire Robb, Alex Armstrong and Andrew Stirling. All three started at the firm as graduates have progressed to Partner within 16-18 years.

EY-Parthenon in the US have promoted Ben Kadish (San Francisco), Gabe Lane (Boston) & Shaleen Shankar (New York) from Senior Directors to Partners/Managing Directors within the Software Strategy Group.

The Brussels-based Senior Partner, Jean-Charles van den Branden, has become Bain’s new Global Sustainability Practice Leader after being at the firm for over 28 years.

Roland Berger have announced the promotions of nine new Partners and six new Senior Partners across the firm. The Partners are Mohamad Yamout, Dr Darren Perrin, Dr. Christian-Simon Ernst, Milko Teofilov, Dr. Julian Gulden, Clement Audouin, Maurizio Minelli, Alexander Baumgartner, Benjamin Y. Lowe. The newly-appointed Senior Partners are Benjamin Rassler, Matthieu Simon, Kai Balder, Casper Veenman, Sameer Mehta, Sebastian Steger.

Market Intelligence

INVERTO have announced a major milestone: the official opening of new offices in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, marking the company’s expansion into Southeast Asia. Additionally, INVERTO has introduced Fahad Anwar as the newly appointed Managing Director, who will be leading both offices.

Simon-Kucher, a global commercial strategy consulting firm, have opened a new office in Riyadh, reinforcing its commitment to the rapidly growing Saudi market. Headquartered in Germany, Simon-Kucher has seen consistent growth since the global financial crisis and has been operating in the Middle East since 2012 with its Dubai office. Over the past twelve years, the firm have expanded their presence in the region, particularly in the UAE, offering services in commercial strategy, pricing, and sales & marketing to both local and international clients.

Interpath Advisory have announced the opening of a new office in Paris, France, as part of its expansion into continental Europe. CEO Mark Raddan emphasized Paris’ importance as a global financial hub and highlighted the city’s robust financial services and private equity sectors. Interpath’s latest financial results showed a significant increase in advisory revenues from £2.8 million to £26.9 million.

Capgemini have acquired Lösch & Partner, a Munich-based German firm specializing in application lifecycle management and systems engineering, particularly for the automotive industry. Established in 1984, Lösch & Partner have a strong track record in these services. Henrik Ljungström, Capgemini’s managing director in Germany, stated that the acquisition will enhance Capgemini’s IT system integration services for clients in the automotive and manufacturing sectors.

Accenture is set to acquire Camelot Management Consultants, a German-based technology consulting firm specializing in SAP, supply chains, and data analytics. Camelot operates in Germany, the US, the UAE, and India, and its expertise will enhance Accenture’s capabilities in supply chain management and AI adoption services.
