The height of the summer can sometimes cause a slowdown in hiring. However, in 2024, it seems that the opposite is happening. As firms look to capitalize on increasing private equity deal flow globally, this month sees high-profile moves within diligence, value creation, and portfolio transformation.
People Moves
EY-Parthenon have bolstered their Partnership in Germany through the hire of two senior market figures in Maximilian Dressler and Christian Wilkens. Mr. Dressler joins the firm’s Turnaround & Restructuring Strategy practice, and Mr. Wilkens within the Healthcare & Life Sciences practice.
Similarly, in Italy, Michele Paolo D’Angelo joins EY’s European Private Equity and Reshaping Results team, where he will continue his work in Private Equity value creation and value preservation.
BCG’s specialist procurement subsidiary, Inverto, have brought onboard José Carande Morgado to support their growth in the Spanish market. Mr. Morgado brings with him more than 20 years of experience in consulting, most recently at Accenture, where he was a Managing Director and Financial Services Consulting Lead for the Iberia region.
Seasoned Deloitte Partner Volker Gross has joined Alvarez & Marsal’s Dusseldorf office, where he will concentrate on financial and operational restructuring for mid-sized companies and corporations. Christian Heiss also joins the firm after 18 years at Oliver Wyman. Based out of Zurich, Dr. Heiss will support clients in the areas of performance improvement and transformation.
In the UK, A&M have hired Hardip Bhatti into their Portfolio Advisory Group. Joining as a Managing Director from EY, Mr. Bhatti will focus on leading performing, non-performing, and distressed debt portfolio transactions globally
Similarly, in the US, A&M have appointed Ben YoKell as Managing Director in the Supply Chain Services practice, within their Corporate Performance Improvement group, as well as Rosco Newsom as a Managing Director in their aerospace, defense, aviation, and space practice.
Former KPMG Partner Deepa Ramchandani has joined Interpath Advisory. She joins the London firm to lead its financial modelling offering as part of the data and technology team.
PA Consulting’s US arm have strengthened their Digital Surgery capabilities through the hire of Andrew Savarese. Based out of Boston, Mr. Savarese will work with medtech clients to bring digital surgery solutions to market and improve patient outcomes.
Also joining PA Consulting is Carlos Ozores, who joins as a Partner and leader of the US Aviation practice.
Capco have hired Karl Canty as a Partner in their US Insurance business. Based out of Hartford (CT), Mr. Canty brings over 20 years of insurance product, technology, and transformation experience to the role.
Arthur D. Little have strengthened their Middle East & India offering through the hire of Pallab Roy. The former Big 4 Partner joins ADL’s Growth practice, operating out of the New Delhi and Dubai offices.
After a five year stint at Oliver Wyman, Marielli Bou Harb has rejoined Arthur D. Little as a Partner in their Energy, Utilities & Resources practice in the MENA region.
After a 12-year tenure at financial services firm Zeus, Jamie Peel has joined PwC’s Manchester office as a Director in the Lead Advisory team. Mr. Peel will now lead PwC’s special situations and restructuring M&A offering across the North of England.
Following a 12-year career in consulting, Roland Berger Partner and Global Managing Director Hasmeet Kaur has left to join MANN+HUMMEL as President of Transportation.
Specialist supply chain and operations consulting firm SGS Maine Pointe have hired a duo of senior industry professionals to lead their growth in the US. Julie Brignac joins as practice leader of SGS Maine Pointe’s procurement business, and Lance Raley joins the Natural Resources practice, focusing on Oil & Gas.

Paris-based BCG Managing Director & Senior Partner Johanna Benesty has taken on the role Head of BCG X France. In tandem, Ms. Benesty will continue to serve as BCG’s leader for Global Health.
BDO have appointed Andrew Radford as the new National Head of Professional Services. He succeeds Nick Carter-Pegg who has held the position for the last 15 years.
KPMG Scotland have appointed a new leader in Vishal Chopra. Mr. Chopra taken on the role having recently served as the firm’s Head of Tax for Scotland.
Similarly, in the US, KPMG have promoted Patrick Ryan to Managing Partner of its Washington, DC office and leader of its US Federal Sector.
Accenture has announced that as of December 1st, Angie Park will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer. Based out of Washington, DC, Ms. Park succeeds KC McClure, who is retiring after 36 years with Accenture.
Chicago-based McKinsey Partner Akshay Kapur has been elected Senior Partner. Over the past ten years at the firm Mr. Kapur has supported clients in the Healthcare space with corporate and business-unit strategy development, M&A, and performance transformation.
Will Bowen has been promoted to Managing Director at Accenture, based out of the London office. In his new role, Mr. Bowen will continue his work in M&A and Private Equity.

Financial Services specialist consulting firm Alpha FMC have agreed to a £626 million takeover bid by private equity group Bridgepoint. A well-known investor in the consulting landscape, the acquisition will complement Bridgepoint’s previous investment in firms such as Analysys Mason, ERM, and HKA.
Oliver Wyman are set to acquire US-based commodity trading advisory firm Veritas Total Solutions. The acquisition will deepen their expertise in risk, systems, analytics, and AI.
PwC have announced a landmark deal with ChatGPT Enterprise, making the firm OpenAI’s first reseller for ChatGPT Enterprise and the largest user of the product.
Management and technology consulting firm ZS have acquired Digital Additive, an Atlanta-based Salesforce digital marketing agency. The acquisition will strengthen their Salesforce and personalized marketing solutions capabilities for clients.
