Stuart Deacon joins Alvarez & Marsal as a Managing Director in their Special Situations M&A team in the Restructuring practice. Prior to joining A&M, Stuart was at BDO for 8 years leading their national Special Situations M&A network in the UK.
Marianne Dahl has joined BCG in Copenhagen after 6 years at Microsoft. Marianne will focus on Digital and Sustainable Transformation across multiple industries.
Strategy& in Germany have hired former Bain Partner Dr. Marcus Hoffmann. Marcus will co-lead their Automotive practice supporting clients in corporate growth and transformation strategies, the development of innovative business models, and the management of investment projects and mergers.
The former Global Head of Wealth Management at Oliver Wyman, Kai Upadek, has left after 8 years at the firm. He will be joining HSBC as their Head of Strategy Wealth and Private Banking in the UK.
Ronan O’Kelly has been appointed as the new European Head of Oliver Wyman’s Corporate and Institutional Banking practice. Ronan’s work encompasses restructuring, growth and innovation to help European and international banks capture growth and deliver better shareholder returns.
EY-Parthenon France has announced the appointment of Pierre Dresco to its transaction strategy and execution team. Pierre joins from the Consumer team at Bain.
Daniel Weise, supply-chain-focused and experienced BCG Partner, will take on the role of CEO of INVERTO as of January 1st 2022. Following its successful integration into BCG, the firm also establishes more senior figures into management roles, including Thibault Pucken as Chief Operating Officer (COO), INVERTO co-founder Frank Wierlemann for Human Resources, as well as Jan Kischkewitz (Germany and Austria), André Thuvesson (Nordics), and Thibault Lecat (UK, the Netherlands, and France).
Robert Bradbury joins Alvarez & Marsal to lead their Structured Credit Execution practice, which sits within their Portfolio Advisory Group in the UK. He joins after spending 6 years at StormHarbour Securities.
Roland Berger UK have hired former Oliver Wyman Principal Eugene Raguzin, as he joins their Consumer and Retail Practice as a Partner.
Infosys Consulting has added Chris Leigh-Currill to their Partner group, joining their Cloud & CIO Advisory practice in Europe. Chris will bring with him his more than 20 years of experience from working at the likes of Capgemini, IBM, and DXC Technology.
Grant Thornton UK have added two former Alvarez & Marsal Partners to their newly formed Economic Consulting practice. Both Chris Williams and Schellion Horn join the firm and will be based in their London office.
David Champeaux has joined Alvarez & Marsal to lead and grow operationally-rooted digital solutions that create value for EMEA Healthcare & Life Sciences companies. He is bringing with him over 25 years of experience, with previous experience at the likes of Accenture and McKinsey.
Alvarez & Marsal in Milan have appointed Davide Ganzer as head of Transaction Advisory in Italy, and Giorgio Perconti as Managing Director. Both hires come from Big 4 firms, Davide being former Deloitte and Giorgio joining from EY.

Markus Schmid joins A&M in Germany to further advance the firm’s strategic plan to augment its restructuring offering across Europe. Markus brings more than 25 years of experience in supporting complex restructuring and turnaround processes at both large international companies and mid-sized businesses and has successfully managed complex post-merger integrations and carve-outs.
Bain strengthens its Financial Services practice in the Netherlands with two former Roland Berger Partners: Mark de Jonge and Sjors van der Zee. The former is a senior leader in Financial Services, while the latter similarly specialises in Banking and Insurance.
Partners in Performance has strengthened its European leadership team with the hire of Michael Träm, a veteran in the management consulting industry. With a strong background in consulting at reputable strategy houses, he joins a wider cohort of new joiners to Partners in Performance.
Maxime Julien has been elected head of LEK Consulting’s Paris office, succeeding Arnaud Sergent, a Senior Healthcare Partner in the region. Maxime is an Industrials-focused leader, who also has significant experience in digital and technology issues.
Julian Short, former KPMG Head of Commercial and Pricing Strategy in the UK, joins AlixPartners as European Head of Revenue and Growth. His career spans over 25 years, having previously been Global Commercial Strategy Lead at Accenture.
KPMG elects Bina Mehta to continue her role as Chairwoman. An M&A and Restructuring professional, she will continue to lead the Board after more than 30 years with the firm.
A&M has appointed Kai Hoffman as Managing Director to support the growth of the firm’s Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) services and capabilities. Kai brings more than 19 years of experience in restructuring and corporate finance transactions across a wide variety of sectors, advising both corporate debtors and leading stakeholder groups in various geographies.
