This week, after more than two years of working remotely, the Patrick Morgan Foundation was finally able to go into schools to hold our first in-person workshops of the year.
We had the pleasure of returning to the Lilian Baylis Technology School in South London to offer specialised workshops on the world of Business, Finance, and Professional Services. Speaking to Year 12 pupils, we discussed the breadth of opportunities available in the sector, as well as the ways to access these careers after A-Level. Our Founder, James O’Dowd, also delivered a talk on aspiration, touching on how he set up the Patrick Morgan business.
Following our presentations, we had the chance to engage with the students and have open conversations about their professional futures, how and where to look for meaningful work experience, creating an effective LinkedIn profile and even starting your own business.
It was an incredibly successful morning and a fantastic learning opportunity for our Trustees as well. A big thank you to the students and staff at Lilian Baylis Technology School – we’re looking forward to next time!
