Key People Moves
Joaquín Coronado Galdos joined FTI Consulting in Spain as a Senior Managing Director. He joins after 5 years at the Energy retailer Podo, which he co-founded and where he held the position of CEO. His area of expertise is in Turnaround, Corporate Finance & Restructuring projects within the Utilities and TMT sectors.
Teneo Consulting, the advisory firm that recently acquired Deloitte’s Restructuring practice in the UK, have hired Nitin Chaturvedi who previously led Bain’s Healthcare practice in the UK.
EY-Parthenon have hired Georg Hochleitner and Malvinder Singh from Alvarez & Marsal to grow their EMEA Private Equity business. Georgwill focus on commercial and operational due diligence projects, as well as post-acquisition value creation. Similarly, Malvinder will work on pre-deal technology due diligence and post-deal IT integration.
Simon Oertel has also made the move to EY-Parthenon in Munich, after 13 years at Oliver Wyman. Simon works with Private Equity funds and advises them across the whole transaction life cycle, with a focus on the Manufacturing sector.
The digital consulting firm Publicis Sapient have appointed Edeltraud Leibrock as their new leader in the DACH region. She will be based in their Munich office and will bring with her a vast amount of experience in the Digital and Technology industry.
Roland Berger has hired 3 Partners into their Restructuring practice, Ulf Rieckhoff and Jan-Hendrik Többe in Germany and Benoît Hochet in France. Benoît will be a Partner and Co-Head of the French Restructuring, Performance & Transformation practice.
Stuart Twinberrow has joined Alvarez & Marsal UK, specifically their financial investors Tax practice. For the majority of Stuart’s career, he was working in Deloitte’s M&A Tax practice, which he led for several years.
L.E.K. Consulting have announced the establishment of a team in Madrid and have hired Jacqueline Thompson from Strategy& to co-lead the team. She focuses on strategy and commercial due diligence within the Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Education sectors.
Moreover, Carmen Morales Garcia joins L.E.K. in Madrid as Jacqueline Thompson’s co-lead. Carmen rejoins the firm after a six-year stint at PwC and will focus on supporting her clients in the Consumer Products, Retail, and Healthcare services industries.
Teresa Schawe, a former KPMG Partner focusing on M&A advisory for Private Equity funds and corporates, has made the transition to Strategy& in Germany. Teresa offers clients advice on medium- to large-scale transactions and value enhancement.
Alvarez & Marsal have hired Ali Anwar in Dubai and appointed him as the new Middle East practice leader of their Global Transaction Advisory Group. Ali joins the company after 14 years at EY.
Xavier Pace has joined Arteo, the Taxand network Law firm in Belgium, after leaving the Ministry of Justice. He focuses on corporate tax, including the tax aspects of various types of transactions, as well as on fiscal and financial criminal law.
Stéphane Blanchard joins OC&C Strategy Consultants in France as a Senior Partner leading their Consumer, Leisure, and Private Equity practices. Prior to joining OC&C, he was a Senior Partner at Advancy, where he led their Private Equity practice.
OnBuy have made James Watts their new CFO, who will be based in Bournemouth. James has gained experience over the years working in Deloitte’s Transaction Services practice and WPP, a Marketing & Advertising specialist firm.
Infosys Consulting have hired Marco Thelen, who was previously a Senior Partner at Roland Berger in Germany. Marco is a Digital Strategist, who also has experience working for Accenture and E.ON SE.
John Dowdy has made an internal move and joined McKinsey in their Washington D.C. office after spending over a decade in the UK. He is global leader of the Aerospace and Defence practice.
Neil Reid has joined AlixPartners, where he will continue providing transformation advisory to companies, mainly within the Financial Services sector. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he worked for Oliver Wyman for 25 years.
AVEVA, a computer software firm, has hired James McLetchie, former McKinsey Partner in London. James specialises in advising clients on successful integrations within the M&A space.
Cyrille Bender has joined Kearney in France, working in their Restructuring and Private Equity practice. He joins after spending two years at the Investment Bank Cairn Partners.
Dan Phipps joins BCG as a Senior Advisor after spending the majority of his career at HSBC, where he was the Head of Digital, based in Hong Kong.
Google has hired Susan Thomas as Clinical Director. Prior to joining Google, she was EY’s lead Partner for Health & Life Sciences and was with the firm for over 13 years, working on improving the Healthcare industry in the UK.
